In alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and CBSE’s vision for competency-based education, Kongu International School hosted a one-day CBSE Capacity Building Programme (CBP) on “Learning Outcomes and Pedagogies” for our educators.
The interactive workshop was led by CBSE-empanelled resource persons, focusing on shifting classroom practices from rote memorisation to demonstrable, outcome-driven learning.
Key Highlights of the Programme:
Defining Measurable Outcomes: Understanding the distinction between learning objectives and observable learning outcomes across cognitive domains (Bloom’s Taxonomy).
Competency-Based Pedagogies: Designing lesson frameworks integrated with experiential learning, art integration, inquiry-led exploration, and cross-curricular linkages.
Aligning Assessment with Outcomes: Creating formative and authentic assessments—such as rubrics, open-ended tasks, and performance-based evaluations—that reflect genuine conceptual mastery.
Collaborative Lesson Design: Faculty members engaged in micro-planning sessions to map core curricular standards to clear classroom activities and assessment criteria.
The session equipped our teaching faculty with actionable pedagogical tools to make daily instruction more purposeful, learner-centred, and measurable. Kongu International School remains committed to continuous educator development to ensure our classrooms inspire deep, lifelong learning.
